Anything not earned will surely be wasted in rapid succession. Simply because it’s not about working yourself to death to earn a “living”. But it’s the learning that is acquired during the time period that is truly the wealth. A self made millionaire can never be broke because he has the know how. And with that know how he/she is able to increase their wealth by using the same and adopting new methods.
But the question is what would you do with a million dollars? As long as the question remain rhetorical then the recipient would to sum it up solve world hunger provide jobs and put some money aside via savings/mattress or safe. But is that still relevant if the question was rhetorical.
Again what is not earned is spent in rapid succession. So if you were given a million dollars you would be consumed with all of the things that you always wanted. But the reality is if you look into people who beat the odds and actually won the lottery I can guarantee that a very low percentage was able to keep the wealth and a large majority was consumed with wants opposed to needs because of the entitlement that comes along with it when your financial class changes. Friends and family you once had are no longer in the picture solely because of their very own entitlements. And the leechs that surrounds you will eventually consume your wealth with their secret entitlements and their willingness to do anything to fulfill it.
So would a million dollars be a blessing or a nightmare. True wealth is in the knowledge. Now don’t get me wrong no sane or insane individual would turn a million free and clear dollars down. I know I wouldn’t but hopefully I have obtained the wealth of knowledge first.
